Just a quick housekeeping post.

When I created the XML metadata that included variable data type, field width, and descriptions, I neglected to include the SPS file name used as the source for the metadata.

Today I revised one Perl program and one XQuery program to add a source attribute in the XML. A source attribute already appears in the XML containing metadata on variable codes and labels.

To see the effect of today’s changes, see example_ipedsVars_metdata.txt.
